FRM566467: Lviv, inter-war Poland (present day Ukraine), 1920s. Chapel and catacombs at the Lviv Orlat (' Eaglets') Cemetery. Monument on the left side is dedicated to American pilots from Polish 7th Tadeusz Kosciuszko Air Escadrille killed during battle of Lviv and buried at the cemetery. They were Arthur Kelly- captain, Edmund Zravel and Mac Callum lieutenants. The cemetery was built to bury Polish-Lviv soldiers killed during battle of Lviv against the Ukrainians. Most of the Polish soldiers were very young or shool age volunteers - thats why they were called 'Eaglets'. They were mainly residents of the city. / Bridgeman Images

In 1950 he made his debut as a journalist reporter in 'Przekroju'. 1950-1954, in the edition of the Cracowian 'Dziennik polishego'. 1953-1958, cartoon series in Przekroju 'Przez okulary'. 1956-1958, he moved to Warsaw. In 1963 he settled in Italy. In 1968 he lived in Paris. In !989 he moved to Mexico. He lived in Cracow from 1996. His dramas are well known worldwide. / Bridgeman Images
