Monument on the left side is dedicated to American pilots from Polish 7th Tadeusz Kosciuszko Air Escadrille killed during battle of Lviv and buried at the cemetery. They were Arthur Kelly- captain, Edmund Zravel and Mac Callum lieutenants. The cemetery was built to bury Polish-Lviv soldiers killed during battle of Lviv against the Ukrainians. Most of the Polish soldiers were very young or shool age volunteers - thats why they were called 'Eaglets'. They were mainly residents of the city.
