XEE4139933: Sound energy: speed of sound in water. Experience of 1826-1827 by Jean Daniel (Jean-Daniel) Colladon (1802-1893) and Charles Francois Sturm (1803-1855) on Lake Geneva (Leman Lake). Two boats moored 14 km apart, one of the boats supported a bell, a hammer hitting the bell lit a pile of powder.
