TEC4561077: The island of the Urban Community of Dunkirk (Reel Island) in the French pavilion of the Aichi World Exposition in Japan, 2005. The aim is to show how a territory, a population and industries have adapted and innovated to integrate the concept of sustainable development into their homes. Georges Rousse moved two containers from Dunkirk to Aichi. Playing on volumes and light, he painted in three dimensions the territory of the Urban Community of Dunkirk. Integrating into this work, a collective of graphic designers and multimedia designers “”” On the Roof”” have invented a game where visitors can evaluate the consequences of their actions in their daily management of the environment. / Bridgeman Images
