S ~ W. have complained to the authorities -following the installation in the grounds of the entrance to St. James' Hospital - of a life -size Statue of a nude man.. The new out-patients department of the hospital is to be opened on Friday by the Minister of Health. The statue has been draped - and undraped mysteriously during the past few days- and now some of the local people have asked the authorities to remove the statue - as they say it is unfit for public view. On October 6th this box with 25 kilo gramms of gold had been loaded at the Parisian air port. but had been missed at the air port of Geneva. ZUM4923829: Apr. 04, 1954 - Poisoned man sees police.: Mr Arthur Ford, 44, was discharged from hospital today after treatment for suspected poisoning. He was met by detectives investigating the deaths of two girl typists at the office which he manages. Mr. Ford, who the police believe may be able to hep their inquiries, went in a police car to Alphany Street Police station. The girls, Betty Grant, 27, of Chobham Gardens, Wimbledon, and June Malins, 19, former seaside beuty queen, of Wightman-Grove, Harringay, died in hospital on Tuesday after eating coconut ice at the office of manufacturing chemists in Euston Road. Mr. Ford, of Bath-road, Hounslow, was taken to University College Hospital after eating some of the coconut ice. Tests by police scientists on pieces of coconut ice found on Miss Grant's desk and samples taken from the shop where it was bought showed that it was harmless. The airlift pilot with the secretary Helga on the airfield at Berlin-Tempelhof. The two fell in love and decided to get married, but Fred was shifted to Austria. His bride, 19 years old at the time, followed him to Vienna in 1951, but before they could get through the proper channels er was moved again, this time to the Philippines. They spent all his vacation days together, until the beginning of this month when he hitchhiked to Berlin because he didn't have the money to purchase a ticket. His friends from the air force, however, slow him a hand, and so he flew in various military machines over India, Egypt, and Italy to reach Europe, and then Berlin.
