Biography
Hiroyuki Izutsu is an illustrator based in Tokyo, Japan. Born in 1955 in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, Izutsu initially studied animation before going into advertising. He started working in the publishing world after producing the cover art for a book that went to to be a bestseller. He describes the main motifs in his work as "people, landscapes and flowers". Izutsu lectures at "Illustration Aoyama Juku" in Tokyo and is also a part-time lecturer at Yokohama University of Art and Design. In August 2022, he was invited to sit on the Global Artist Committee of Asian Art Association.
