George Grantham Bain was an American photographer and entrepreneur who founded the Bain News Service in 1898. Born in 1865 in New York City, Bain began his career as a newsboy and later worked as a clerk in a law firm. Bain's photographs covered a wide range of subjects, including politics, sports, and entertainment. He was known for his innovative techniques, such as using flash powder to capture images in low light. Bain's photographs were widely distributed and helped to shape public opinion on important issues of the day. He continued to work as a photographer until his death in 1944.
