- Helen Flockhart (b. 1963) was born in Hamilton, Lancashire. She studied at Glasgow School of Art, 1980–5, then in following year at State Higher School of Fine Art in Poznan, Poland. She is influenced by naïve, folk art pictures and icons. The roles of women as Maiden, Madonna and Mother often features in her work.
