Bridgeman Education is the online educational image resource of The Bridgeman Art Library, which has over 40 years' experience of licensing images to the education sector. Our database is an invaluable research, teaching and learning tool; a unique archive of digital images sourced from the world’s leading museums, galleries, contemporary artists and private collections.
We offer a simple, annual subscription service to those in education; be it universities, schools, colleges, students, teachers or academics with no hidden costs or sign-up fee. Material is catalogued by our team of expert Art Historians, ensuring our metadata is of the highest quality and that accurate search results are returned each time.
If the image you are looking for is not on the site, please
contact us and we will try to find it for you. Some material has been removed due to its potentially sensitive nature, so please do not hesitate to let us know if you are looking for content that you cannot find.
Additionally, once subscribed to the service, institutions can, subject to a fee and review of quality, apply to have their images digitised by The Bridgeman Art Library's technical scanning department with the option of including these images within the Library’s database. This means that if any of the institutions images are requested for commercial use the institution would get paid a fee in return.
